About the Role

We're looking for an innovative Operations Manager to join our Technology Centre (CTC) in Canberra. This hub has a great culture in a high-paced environment. Reporting to the State Service Delivery Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Technology Centre and associated business within our organisation.

Main Duties

* Strategically manage all aspects of the operational centre service to our clients, ensuring contractual and service level agreements are achieved
* Provide management and direction to the team and promote reward, recognition, and feedback throughout the Technology Centre
* Recruit and retain a strong team, ensuring direct reports understand the expectations of their role
* Manage daily productivity across site through real-time, daily, and monthly reporting tools
* Ensure client revenue and other financial budgets are met and monitored on a monthly basis
* Identify trends and develop and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the Technology Centre
* Develop an understanding of our clients' businesses and form relationships to generate additional revenue
* Assist Sales and Marketing to identify, investigate, and scope service extension opportunities and additional work requests to achieve growth objectives
* Ensure that our Workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures are followed throughout the Technology Centre

Key Requirements

We're looking for someone who possesses strong people management skills, including building and leading teams. You should be able to work autonomously and be a natural problem-solver. Experience in diverse industries is beneficial.

* Experience in leading a high-performing operational team
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Six Sigma/LEAN qualification desirable
* Cost understanding reporting
* Keen attention to detail
* Excellent decision-making skills
* Productivity management and continuous process improvement
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
