Director of Care
The Director Of Care role at Torbay is a pivotal position that oversees all clinical, lifestyle, and allied health services. This includes leading the accreditation process, ensuring compliance with Aged Care Standards and relevant legislation.
About the Role:
The Director will be responsible for managing performance, enhancing staff engagement, and addressing clinical care risks and incidents. They will also oversee correct claiming processes under AN-ACC or future funding models to ensure revenue optimisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead clinical, lifestyle, and allied health services to ensure alignment with Torbay's strategic plan and core values.
* Develop and manage the clinical budget to ensure alignment with organisational priorities.
* Oversee all clinical, allied health, and diversional therapy expenditures to ensure they remain within approved budgetary limits.
* Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement infection control measures.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
* Current, unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
* A willingness to complete the Infection Control Prevention qualification within six months.
* Qualifications as an Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lead.
* Sound understanding of aged care funding models and Accreditation Standards.
* Minimum of five years of management experience, preferably within the aged care sector.
