**The Role**:
We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Category Manager for our ANZ region to join our procurement team at our Mascot office. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of the annual category planning cycle, ensuring comprehensive category plans and successful project implementation. You will also play a key role in achieving cost reduction and optimising processes.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement regional category sourcing strategies, optimizing procurement processes and costs.
- Oversee vendor selection, negotiation, and management to maintain a reliable and compliant supplier base.
- Monitor and manage supplier contracts to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and budgetary requirements.
- Support global and regional procurement initiatives, driving cost optimization and continuous improvement.
- Standardize and optimize procurement policies, processes, and tools across the organization.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
- Lead and motivate procurement teams, fostering effective relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years of experience in strategic, indirect procurement.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred; CILT/CIPS qualification desired or willingness to pursue it.
- Proven expertise in sourcing, category management, and contract negotiation across different geographies.
- Strong background in developing and implementing category strategies with a record of achieving significant cost savings.
- Experience in supplier relationship management and building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent strategic thinking, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning, organisation, and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to influence stakeholders.
