OverviewJoin to apply for the Job Coach role at UnitingCare Queensland.Job Coach | Project Search – Permanent Full Time, Ipswich.Remuneration: $44.58 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay).

Our FaDS (Family and Disability Services) team work across Queensland to support crisis response, protection of vulnerable people and children, financial resilience and family wellbeing.Your part in our UnitingCare teamThe Job Coach is responsible for supporting the achievement of high quality employment outcomes for young people with a disability through delivery of UnitingCare's Project SEARCH Transition-to-Work Program.RoleThe Project SEARCH program is a unique, business-led, one-year employment preparation program that takes place entirely at a Host Workplace.
This role will see you:
Develop effective networks and partnerships with Project SEARCH stakeholders to support quality client outcomes
Collaborate with the leadership team and host sites to develop internships that teach Interns marketable skills transferable to community jobs
Identify, assess and select eligible young people with a disability to participate in the program
Complete assessments to determine Intern capacity, support requirements and areas for skill development
Provide employment preparation training and a range of vocational and non-vocational interventions to help Interns manage employment barriers and develop skills
Provide individualised on-the-job support to each Intern during the internship rotation
Engage employers to achieve Job Placement KPIs and secure post-program employment opportunities
Build and maintain relationships with follow-on services to assist each intern transition to open employment
What makes a difference for us?
Certificate IV in Employment Services, Disability Services, Community Services or other relevant qualification (or lesser formal qualification with relevant experience)
Experience in culturally sensitive case management and planning for people with a disability
High level written and verbal communication skills; ability to relate well to all people
Ability to work with a range of stakeholders, including business, community members and organisations
Robust sector connections that can assist in securing post-program employment
Understanding of the NDIS environment, funding and reporting models, service delivery models, and quality service frameworks
Understanding of key Federal and State legislation impacting Disability and Employment Services
Current Driver's Licence, Positive Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Check and Senior First Aid Certificate
