OverviewWe are on lookout for highly skilled Data Governance Analyst (Data Quality) to support the implementation and administration of the data governance framework across the bank by creating practical controls that reduce data risk and reporting on the success of data governance programs.This role is offered as 12 months fixed term contract with possible extension or permanency.ResponsibilitiesAssist in supporting the development of the data governance program of work by: Assisting to develop and document recent and existing data management standards, processes, and controlsAssist in proactively engaging with business stakeholders to promote data governanceAssist in proactively engaging with business stakeholders to promote data governance qualityData quality issues root cause analysis and impact assessmentReview and audit data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulationsAssist in data management, governance and data quality of master data requirements with data owners/stewardsProvide support of data management/governance initiatives, such as data cataloguing, data profiling, data quality assessmentDevelop and implement data quality standards and processesEngage with and support data owners, data custodians, data stewards and data users by: Promoting and explaining data quality issue management processes and best practices for metadata governance policies and proceduresActively identifying and escalating data-related issues and risksDocument feedback and contribute practical and strategic solutionsSupport Data Stewards users in the creation and curation of data glossaries, data quality dashboardsSupport to identify data-related issues and working with cross-functional teams to resolve themCollaborate with business stakeholders to develop metrics and dashboards for data qualityReport on data quality issues and present data quality metrics periodicallyAssisting Data Stewards with data quality management processesTrain and educate employees on data management and governance proceduresMonitor and update data dictionaries and metadata to ensure data consistencyEnsure the smooth running of the data governance framework by: Assist in providing the organisation with an understanding of critical data, where it is and the quality of the data, through the business glossary, data cataloguing and data quality assessmentsAssisting to report on the progress of the initial rollout, including uptake, compliance, and effectivenessAssist in performing compliance checksMaintaining or administering data governance processes and/or proceduresContributing to tactical decision makingProactively identify risks and recommend actions to avoid, mitigate or accept risks.

High level understanding of data management conceptsExperience in Data Management and Data Quality tools.Some understanding of regulatory requirements related to data privacy, including but not limited to CPG235 and Australian Privacy Principals.Strong written and verbal communication skillsAn understanding of financial services operating environment and products (desirable)Who are we?
