Responsibilities
* Lead engineering and analysis to define technical requirements for distributed energy resources (DER).
* Lead projects to address power system challenges from increasing DER, including standards, compliance, and evolving behaviours.
* Collaborate with industry to develop solutions that support a power system with high levels of DER.
* Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to develop company positions on technical requirements.
* Prepare reports, recommendations, and presentations that translate complex technical issues for executives, boards, and external stakeholders.
* Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior staff, and support key initiatives under the Engineering Roadmap to 100% Renewables.
What You Will Bring To The Role
Education
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Technology, or Science/Maths (with a power system focus), or equivalent relevant discipline or work experience.
* Proficient use of all Microsoft Office product suite.
Experience & Knowledge
* Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary projects in distributed energy.
* Skilled in preparing, reviewing, and finalising high-quality technical documentation and reports.
* Strong analytical skills to interpret and summarise complex data and insights.
* Effective communicator (written and verbal) across diverse audiences and stakeholders.
* Proactive, outcome-focused, and able to build constructive relationships.
Desirable
* Strong energy industry experience, ideally in DER product or service development.
* Strong knowledge of power systems and electricity market systems, with ability to apply to practical problems.
