We are excited to invite a Grounds Attendant to join our dedicated and award-winning team on Lady Elliot Island.
This island-based position offers a 9-days-on, 5-days-off roster. During your on-island days, you'll have the unique opportunity to live in this incredible environment—balancing meaningful work with time to enjoy the natural beauty of the Great Barrier Reef.
Key responsibilities include:
· Mowing and grounds upkeep
· Wood chipping and mulching
· Hedging
· Assisting with landscaping, grounds, and maintenance
· Keeping the Refuse Centre neat and well-maintained
· Completing scheduled monthly maintenance
· Caring for the resort's gardens, grounds, and pathways
· Refueling vehicles following correct procedures
· Monitoring machinery and equipment
· Chainsawing and tree pruning
· Supporting various additional tasks as needed
This island based role includes meals and accommodation at a reduced rate in shared facilities for the duration of your 9-day roster. All staff travel to and from the island via Hervey Bay Airport.
