This role will be responsible for carrying out QC Engineer tasks of the manufacture of carbon and stainless-steel pipe spools and pipe support structures together with surveillance in accordance with the Project Quality Plan.
They will support QC Inspectors with daily tasks and create lifetime records, while playing a key role to develop, foster and promote a culture with our client of operational satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan is written in-line with the project requirements and is being effectively implemented and shared with relevant managers.Review of all documentation, LTQRs & final certification packages ensuring these are in accordance with contract requirements.Review calibration records and test equipment are in full compliance with company & contract requirements.Ensure weld procedures comply with relevant code, contract requirements & are correctly allocated.Review and offer improvements to current operating and manufacturing procedures.Carry out any Quality Awareness Training with a focus on right first time and improvements.Analyze, review, track & create non-conformance reports.
Carrying out investigations to ensure we have no repeat occurrences.Final review of all fabrication and assembly documentation before submission to the client with a key focus on right first time.Maintain the approved suppliers listing and requesting from our approved suppliers any documentation that may have expired.Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, clients etc and attend meetings where appropriate.Issue of any Quality documents required by client to Document Control for approval/review.Liaise with sub-contractor and ensure all documentation runs concurrently with the project requirements.Liaise with client representatives relating to QA/QC operation.Conduct audits of the works and Projects Quality System, including sub-contractors and supplier systems where appropriate.
Issuing NCRs where applicable and ensure that they are addressed in a timely manner.Review and recording of all Quality questionnaires and supporting documents for additional suppliers and subcontractors wishing to be added to the HPSL 'Approved Supplier Listing'.Collate and keep up to date SQEP Files for HPSL Personnel – issue to client if required by contract/client.Qualifications and ExperienceAdvanced knowledge of modern welding proceduresExcellent communication skills with a good eye for detailSignificant experience in working on pipe spooling contractsKnowledge of RCCM manufacturing specificationsComputer literate and willing to train on internal digital platformsPrevious Nuclear experience preferredExperience operating in a fast and high volume production environmentCSWIP 3.1 minimumPCN Level 2 Radiographic Interpretation – PreferredCompensation and RemunerationA highly competitive salary25 days annual leaveOn-going investment in your training and development
