The National Insurance & HealthTeam
Our Insurance & Health team is headed up by 32 industry leading principalsacross six states. Within the insurance space our award-winning team is knownfor producing high quality advice and delivering exceptional client service.The team handles claims across all major classes of insurance and acts for thebiggest names in the insurance industry, both locally and overseas.
The Role
An excitinggrowth opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join ourPublic Liability Insurance team in Melbourne on full-time basis. This role willsupport a number of solicitors at varying levels who specialise in a broadrange of defendant insurance areas. Duties of this role will include:
- file management – opening/closing files andfiling/e-filing;
- monthly billing and reporting;
- adhering to client service standards;
- drafting correspondence;
- client liaison;
- brief preparation;
- diary and travel management including bookingappointments;and
- general PA and secretarial support.
About You
This role will suit a candidate with the following:
- previous experience in defendant insurancelitigation desirable;
- experience using precedent, billing and filemanagement programs;
- enthusiastic and proactive approach to work;
- strong communication skills; and
- ability to build solid internal relationships.
