Software Engineer – Node.js / TypeScript (Graduate–Mid Level)

We are supporting a large federal government program delivered by a global consulting partner and are now looking to bring on a Mid-Level Software Engineer to support the design and delivery of modern, cloud-native services.
This role is ideal for engineers early in their career who have strong foundations in TypeScript and Node.js and are keen to grow their experience working on enterprise-scale, real-world systems. You will work alongside senior engineers in a collaborative, agile environment, contributing to both new service development and enhancements to existing platforms.
What you’ll be working on
* Developing backend services using Node.js and TypeScript
* Building and consuming REST APIs
* Supporting cloud-native solutions, primarily on AWS
* Writing unit tests and following clean code practices
* Working within agile, multi-vendor delivery teams
What we’re looking for
* 2–5 years of commercial or strong project experience with Node.js and TypeScript
* Understanding of API development and backend fundamentals
* Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
* Familiarity with unit testing (Mocha, Chai, Jest, or similar)
* Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
* Australian Citizenship
