Coordinate a diverse range of functions to support the provision of an effective HR service.

Foster effective and collaborative relationships with staff throughout all areas of DCP.

Join our People and Culture Directorate as a HR Consultant and deliver expert HR guidance and support to a diverse range of stakeholders!

In the role of HR Consultant, you will provide an effective advisory and consultancy service on a range of human resource matters to support divisions and business units across the department. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and influencing the development of strategic and operational policies relating to HR. You will undertake projects within broadly defined guidelines, and will be responsible for delivering and maintaining efficient work practices within our People and Culture Directorate.

In this role, you will be:

* Contributing to the development of strategic and operational policies relating to HR.
* Developing and implementing administration strategies and procedures for effective HR management.
* Preparing and delivering relevant training, development and/or information sessions.
* Establishing and maintaining effective relationships and networks with staff in all divisions and business units across DCP.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Sound interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to provide advice and options in people management matters.
* Experience in the delivery of HR services, particularly in advice and consultancy and the ability to administer and coordinate HR processes.
* Experience in interpreting awards, legislation and policies, and applying them to meet business needs, including the Public Sector Act 2009.
* Experience in the use of Human Resources Management Systems, such as CHRIS and e-Recruitment applications.
