ABOUT THE COLLEGE:Annandale Christian College (ACC) is a co-educational, non-denominational Christian College located in Townsville, Queensland. We seek staff who are passionate about Christian education and can actively contribute to the spiritual and academic growth of our College community.ABOUT THE ROLE:ACC is seeking an experiencedPayroll Officerto join the team on apermanent part time basis (2 days per week)for animmediate start.The Payroll Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees in accordance with statutory and organisational requirements. The Payroll Officer will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industrial agreement, and to support continuous improvement in payroll systems and processes.KEY RESPONSILITIES:Process end-to-end payroll on a fortnightly basis using payroll software (ConnX and Micropay).Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, awards and industrial agreements with regard to pay rates, leave entitlements and other employment conditions.Provide payroll knowledge and advice on payroll related matters including compliance with awards, industrial agreements, legislation and policies.Maintain accurate records of employee earnings, leave entitlements, deductions, and superannuation.Maintain and update payroll data including new hires, terminations, and amendments.Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare payroll-related reporting obligations.Assist with month-end and year-end payroll reporting when required.Respond efficiently and professionally to all payroll queries.Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external agencies (e.g. ATO, superannuation funds).Support process improvements and participate in payroll system upgrades and implementations.KEY REQUIREMENTS:The successful candidate must be a committed Christian, with a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles and who aligns with ACC’sStatement of Christian Beliefs.
