Overview
BRAMS is recruiting for full‐time Social Workers in Broome, WA, to support both agedcare and disability (NDIS) programs. The role focuses on delivering holistic, person‐centred care to Aboriginal people and families across the Kimberley region.
Responsibilities
* Deliver person‐centred social work services across aged care and/or NDIS programmes.
* Conduct psychosocial assessments to understand social, emotional, and functional needs.
* Develop care and support plans in partnership with individuals, families, and carers.
* Provide counselling and emotional support around grief, loss, mental health, ageing, and disability.
* Support individuals to build capacity, independence, and community participation.
* Facilitate group programmes and individual sessions that strengthen wellbeing and connection.
* Support families through important life transitions with care and sensitivity.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to deliver integrated support.
* Maintain accurate documentation and case notes in line with program requirements.
Qualifications
Hold a Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and be a member or eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Preferred Skills and Experience
* Experience providing counselling and psychosocial support across complex life situations.
* Understanding of the aged care system and/or NDIS frameworks.
* Experience supporting individuals and families through grief, loss, disability, or life transitions.
* Ability to develop and implement person‐centred care and support plans.
* Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience in remote, regional, or Aboriginal community settings.
Additional Requirements
Current Australian driver's licence and willingness to obtain Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and National Police Clearance.
Benefits
* Salary: $115,000 – $130,000 plus super.
