About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Debt Collector / Accounts Receivable Officer to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining positive relationships with clients while upholding company policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and manage overdue accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding debts.
* Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to negotiate payment arrangements.
* Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions in the system.
* Prepare and issue invoices, statements, and reminder notices.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
* Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status and collection progress.
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience in debt collection, accounts receivable, or credit control.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills with a customer-focused approach.
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
