ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking an experienced Teacher of Biology & Years 7-10 Science to join our secondary school program.
As a full-time teacher, you will work collaboratively with your colleagues to deliver a vibrant curriculum to your students and possess a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy in these areas. You will use teaching strategies that cater to the needs of a diverse student group and differentiate the curriculum to adapt to students' needs.
As the classroom Teacher you will be responsible for the delivery of a holistic education, including;
* Creation of a nurturing learning environment which is learner-centered, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with curriculum, policies and practices
* Effective planning, implementation and reviewing of learning programs;
* Maintaining professional standards as defined by the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers;
* Effective management of students in the classroom and wider school community;
* Ensuring that the values and Christian ethos of the School are upheld.

Skills and Experiences:
About You
You will have qualifications and contemporary teaching experience as well as:
* Experience teaching Years 11 and 12 Biology
* Experience teaching Years 7-10 Science
* Qualified Teacher, registered with, or eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
* Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement
* Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum: Science
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and organisational skills
* Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, parents and carers to achieve the best outcomes for students
* Demonstrate a commitment to the Christian faith and the Anglican ethos of the School
