About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Delivery Manager to join our Aircraft Sustainment team based at Wagga Wagga NSW, reporting to the Project Manager.
We embrace versatile work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.
As the Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager by co-ordinating the planning, monitoring and controlling all aspects of Financial Management, Project Control, and Business Improvement within their area of responsibility to achieve optimum financial success and meet operation and strategic business objectives.
The Service Delivery Manager will also be responsible for supporting the Project Manager representing the Project within customer forums where Project business operating model are being considered for both current business and future prospects.
In the conduct of assigned duties, the Service Delivery Manager must maintain the goodwill of the Customer, Industry Partners, and BAE Systems Australia management whilst providing effective leadership of the team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Provide leadership to a small team of individuals.
* Support the preparation, update and submission of project plans and other project management deliverables.
* Support establishment and maintenance of the Performance Measurement Baseline.
* Coordinate preparation of monthly reports on rolling forecasts and other relevant business information.
* Identify project opportunities and risks and ensure identified mitigation strategies are implemented and effective throughout contract phases.
* Contribute to provision of a holistic business performance and control service which enables confident decision making based on the provision of quality information in a timely manner.
About YOU
* Project Management qualifications highly desirable.
* Prior experience in trades or aviation will be highly regarded.
* Previous experience leading/motivating a team across a number of business areas to shape and implement business requirements.
* Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/ or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships.
* Knowledge of project management principles and processes including working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM).
