Site Manager - Leave The Corporate World
A place where you can work on various projects throughout the years to evolve, enjoy, and experience different ways of managing projects, becoming a better builder without the impossible deadlines and unachievable targets.
A place to hang your hat where everyone knows your name and values your experience without the more prominent builders' pressure, gossip, bureaucracy, and politics dampening your mental health.
A place that's easy-going, calm, and relaxed month in and month out, so you can settle in and learn to level up without worrying about the future or cutting corners to get the job done.
A place where you'll be paid a bit above the market rate if you're the right fit, personally and professionally, because they know the ideal candidate will be worth it.
What you're looking for
You're a Site Manager who's been in the game long enough to realise what you want from a business and what you don't.
You know that the next company you work for needs to have the following:
A linear management structure where you can communicate with the managing director, construction manager, and project manager on an equal footing. This is how they run their business: they treat everyone as partners, not direct reports that command power or false respect.
Old-school family values are what the company stands for, and quality above profit for customers is what they build for, knowing they won't be budged on it for anything. The build's product quality is a priority above margins and deadlines.
If you like to laugh while working, don't take yourself too seriously. If you want a quality of life and, while achieving success, smile while working because you're happy and growing, this is your role.
What they're looking for
If you have knowledge of construction from various backgrounds and haven't specialised too much in your journey but have learned a lot from several projects of different scopes, that's great, as it's precisely what we are looking for.
Someone who has been a Site Manager for at least a few years and understands the intricacies of the position, allowing you to communicate easily with your project manager, whom you will work with across all your projects. The brilliant gentlemen I placed at the start of the year, who came from a Tier 2 to a Tier 3, because they wanted to be part of a business that values principles over profits. Very rare in this business, as I'm sure you know.
Someone who enjoys a variety of projects from different sectors and can manage two projects at a time without becoming flustered or overwhelmed, as you've successfully multitasked projects before without any issues.
What you get in return
A top multi-award-winning family builder who prioritizes transparency, flexibility, and strong communication, coupled with old-school values, with a linear management structure.
They specialise in new build construction, fit-out, and refurbishment projects between $3 million and $15 million; almost half of the work comes from repeat clients.
As a turn-key Tier 3 builder covering every aspect of the construction landscape within our great state, customers know they are building with us, not for us. This is an important distinction.
Whether commercial, industrial, hospitality, residential, healthcare, aged care, or recreational, this company treats every project with the utmost care and attention.
With a broad range of delivery methods, including lump sum, design and construction, budgeting and feasibility, and head contracting, this company delivers efficiently and without constraint.
The doors of the managing director, construction manager, and project manager are always open, as they view you as an equal member of the team, not a direct report to be micromanaged or overburdened with excessive work and insufficient time to complete it.
What you get from me
Someone who has been consulting, recruiting, and headhunting construction talent for over 13 years without deviating into any other sector.
