Colac Area Health has an exciting opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join our paediatric team. This position would suit those entering the workforce, returning from parental leave, or a current Grade 1 Speech Pathologist who is looking for Grade 2 experience.
The Speech Pathology team at Colac Area Health provides services across the continuum of care, including aged care, acute and outpatients. This role is predominately focused on our paediatric service, providing assessment and therapy to children below school age. The newly developed Paediatric Clinic at Colac Area Health incorporates a multidisciplinary approach to paediatric care, involving allied health, medical and nursing support.
What’s required?
* Degree, Masters or Graduate Diploma in Speech Pathology as recognised by Speech Pathology Australia.
* Eligibility for practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
* Current Driver’s Licence.
* Ability to work independently, and to collaborate and work as part of a team.
* A commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development and continuous quality improvement
* Experience managing a paediatric caseload
* Experience supervising Grade 1 clinicians, Allied Health Assistants and/or students (Desirable)
* Effective interpersonal skills (including written and verbal communication skills) with clients and colleagues
* Effective time management skills
* Ability to use IT systems, including medical records, efficiently
