UGL has an immediate vacancy for a Procurement Coordinator. Based onsite at various locations during Outage (Shutdown) events in South‐East and Central Queensland, this role manages procurement transactions from end to end as well as the logistics around the engagement of Subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
* Generate Purchase Orders, and expedite vendor data and purchased items
* Achieve best price with suppliers that meet all HSE and technical specifications
* Understand current contract arrangements with UGL subcontractors
* Work with UGL SAP Team to set up new vendors as required
* Review incoming invoices for correctness and process to enable payment in a timely manner
* Maintain the SAP PO request register
* Manage costs within project trends, including monitoring project equipment and subcontractor costs and providing forecasts
* Manage subcontractor movements and resource requirements inline with the project schedule
* Promote a culture of safety on project sites, following all safety procedures and regulations
About You
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably on maintenance or construction projects
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Proficiency in SAP Material Management
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with well‐honed negotiation skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team within a challenging environment
