**Overview**
The National Sales Manager is directly responsible for the day-to-day support and direction for our external sales team and internal sales support staff, you will work closely with our procurement and logistics teams and collaborate frequently with suppliers and other senior executive staff.
You will have regular engagement and group collaborations with our technical support team, marketing manager and our internal graphic design / web team.
There will be a reasonable amount of travel from time to time as needed in order to support external account managers and key customers.
This position reports directly to the Managing Director of the company.
The position is full time, and the working location is Brookvale, NSW.
**Key Duties**
- Support and guide internal sales team members.
- Develop and implement sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing manager to develop long term strategies.
- Identify, develop, and convert new business with existing and new customers.
- Work alongside procurement to ensure appropriate inventory levels.
- Work alongside sales staff to reach individual and joint KPI's.
- Create State specific sales plans and quotas in alignment with KPI's.
- Analyse State market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.
- Address potential problems and develop prompt solutions.
- Assist customer queries about products, prices, availability, and product uses.
- Tailor sales strategies and sales programs for key customers and state representatives.
- Consult with suppliers on product design, price and delivery times.
- Oversee territory manager's monthly reporting and provide monthly KPI updates to sales staff.
**About you**
- You must be a humble and respecting individual with excellent people management skills.
- You must hold an NSW Firearms licence.
- You should have experience in the Outdoor sector, Shooting Sports industry or a similar industry.
- Minimum 3 years of previous experience with Sales Management.
- You must be a self-motivated and focused individual with a high level of attention to detail.
- You should have strong listening and negotiation skills.
- Experience in solving complex problems.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate to advance skills in Microsoft products, particularly excel.
- Experience as a sales representative is beneficial, however not essential.
