Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist to join our team in Cairns, North Queensland.
This role involves providing high-quality clinical services to a primarily paediatric caseload, including client-focused assessments and therapy, and report writing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing one-on-one and group therapy sessions, including clinic-based sessions with families, home visits, school visits, childcare visits, and remote work.
* Developing and implementing individualised therapeutic treatment plans to improve activities of daily living and independence.
* Conducting comprehensive assessments and providing reports to document client progress and provide recommendations for future therapeutic plans.
* Coordinating group programs, intensive therapies, one-on-one parent consultations, group workshops, and community screenings.
* Frequent and transparent collaboration with families and our multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
* Working closely with and providing guidance to our occupational therapy assistants to ensure effective and consistent delivery of care.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of clinical experience.
* AHPRA registration.
* Valid Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle.
* Working rights in Australia.
* Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
* Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
* Demonstrated experience in community-based Paediatric Therapy, ideally within the NDIS framework.
* Experience supervising or mentoring therapy assistants is highly desirable.
* Strong skills in report writing, ongoing assessment, and clinical documentation.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
