About the Role:
This position plays a vital role in maintaining a secure environment for staff, patients, visitors, and contractors. The Security Officer is responsible for providing security services to the hospital and its surrounding areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Patrol designated areas to prevent crime and maintain order.
* Respond to incidents and emergencies, including violent or aggressive behavior.
* Conduct searches of people and property as required.
* Provide information and assistance to staff, patients, and visitors.
Requirements:
* A Certificate 2 in Security Operations with a current NSW Security Licence class 1A.
* Effective experience working in a similar role.
* Demonstrated experience in responding to a variety of changing and challenging situations.
* Practical knowledge of security equipment, including CCTV operations and access control systems.
The Ideal Candidate:
You will be a team player who can communicate effectively with all levels of management, staff, and a diverse range of patients and members of the public. You must also be able to work independently and participate in a 24-hour/7-day rotating roster.
