As the company continues to expand its portfolio of large-scale projects across Tasmania and beyond, there is an increasing need for experienced leadership on-site. This growth has created an exciting opportunity for a skilled Site Manager to join the team and play a key role in maintaining the high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency that the business is known for.
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Your duties will include but not limited to:
Overseeing all on-site activities and subcontractors Oversee the efficient use of site resources and hired equipment to support project delivery Collaborate with the project administrator in preparing accurate and timely progress claims Maintain thorough records of all project variances and ensure discrepancies in documentation are captured and processed as variations Contribute to cost-saving initiatives by identifying and recommending effective value-engineering solutions Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets Coordinating with architects, engineers, and stakeholders Conducting site inspections and quality control checks Resolving issues and delays efficiently Reporting progress to senior management Provide professional guidance and support to staff
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and the ability to provide clear direction in a respectful and professional manner. They must be committed to embracing the companys values and standards, while bringing a personable and positive attitude to the team. Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills are essential, along with sound time management, organisational abilities, and a keen eye for detail. A solid understanding of standard contracts and subcontract agreements is required, as well as the ability to show initiative, solve problems effectively, and make confident, informed decisions.
Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale construction projectsStrong leadership and communication skillsIn-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelinesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and plansProficiency in project management software and toolsWhite Card and other relevant certifications
