Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Engineer to join our team of marine vessels. The role will commence immediately and will be based in Southport, Gold Coast, Queensland. The position will involve domestic and international travel, including trips to New Zealand and the QLD Whitsundays.
Responsibilities
* Ensure the safety and efficiency of the engine room operations.
* Plan and execute repairs and inspections of the engine.
* Manage and train onboard engineers.
* Inventory and maintain engineering tools.
Requirements
* Extensive technical experience.
* Advanced knowledge of all onboard systems.
* Excellent planning and maintenance skills.
* Self-reliance and self-discipline.
* Multitasking and versatility.
* Able to delegate tasks and train engineers.
* Accounting and procurement skills for engine maintenance.
* Knowledge of suppliers in case of breakdowns.
* AMSA Engineer Class 2 Qualification or MCA equivalent.
