About the Role
The Asset Auditor conducts site asset surveys and condition audits across customer properties, focusing on building structure, fabric, and engineering services. The role ensures accurate asset data capture using management systems to support maintenance, lifecycle planning, and long-term financial forecasting. It involves both hands-on site auditing and coordination of audits via internal teams, contractors, and specialist suppliers, including transition programs and periodic assessments.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct site audits and condition assessments of building assets, including structure, fabric, and engineering services.
* Ensure accurate and complete asset data capture, reviewing and correcting registers as needed.
* Coordinate and monitor contractors and subcontractors, ensuring timely completion and compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and technical experts to align asset data with maintenance and asset management plans.
* Support data validation, reporting, and governance, providing assurance on data integrity.
* Assist in monitoring programme costs and flag potential budget risks.
* Promote continuous improvement in asset data management, systems, and reporting processes.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
* Experience in asset management, property, or corporate real estate environments.
* Knowledge of building services, structure, and general building maintenance.
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project) and mobile asset capture tools.
* Ability to read, interpret, and assign data attributes to assets accurately.
* Proven ability to work independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience working within integrated property/facilities management models and managing complex projects.
* Strong attention to detail, organisational, and analytical skills.
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication, able to work with diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
