The purpose of the Data Specialist role is to support the Business Implementation stream of the PXP Program through provision of data analysis and data modelling to ensure we can migrate data to our new system easily and cleanly.
**Key activities include**:
- Determining required business process performance metrics (underway - ARIS good source).
- Determining people data requirements.
- Identifying data sources, data format and structure.
- Assessing quality and meaning of data and remedial actions for readiness (will drive cleaning requirements).
- Identifying data endpoints and connections and building data tables (integration space).
- Where data does not exist building data source and model (either directly or with business data owners) (will need to create if we don't have).
- Using data modelling techniques to document the data model.
- Assessing security, compliance and governance across the data lifecycle and identifying any gaps.
- Identifying data required for use in analytics, reporting and dashboards.
