About Katanning Senior High School
Katanning Senior High School is a unique and distinctive secondary school located in the heart of the Great Southern region of Western Australia, only 2.5 hours from Perth. Our students engage in a challenging and comprehensive educational programme within a caring and nurturing environment. Position Details
This is a permanent full‐time position commencing Term 2, 2026.
The Role
An enthusiastic team player is expected to be committed to student success, maintain high expectations, and demonstrate excellence using a range of pedagogies. The teacher will establish and maintain positive relationships, apply differentiated instruction in the Arts curriculum under the guidance of a collaborative leadership structure, and embrace the Whole School Instructional Model based on an explicit direct instruction methodology.
The teacher will communicate, collaborate, and lead within the school and wider community, remain highly reflective of teaching practices, support evidence‐based decision making, and contribute to shaping and promoting the school's values, vision and priorities across the entire school community.
Teachers are expected to teach secondary Arts, be knowledgeable of the Western Australian Curriculum, and ideally have experience teaching general Year 11 and 12 courses.

Mobility Appointments
Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school, may elect to undertake a 3‐year mobility appointment to this school, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the end of the appointment, teachers may return to their substantive role or transfer permanently into this school.

* Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before commencement.
