Star Theatre - Sun Cinema Launceston – Invermay TAS
The Star Theatre is an independent boutique cinema and cafe located in the heart of Invermay. Originally opened in 1937 this beautiful art deco theatre was reopened in 2018 and is now a part of the Sun Theatre family.
We are looking for our next exceptional Senior Duty Manager to join our superstar team and lead from the front.
An outgoing personality and the ability to work a combination of day, night and weekend shifts is a must (this role is mainly a day shift on Wednesday and Thursday with other days and hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant).

The role would suit someone who has had previous experience in hospitality and customer service, as well as experience leading or supervising a small team.
Must have great time management skills, high attention to detail, be able to learn quickly, show initiative, follow procedures, cash handling skills, multi task like a Star and use computer systems and programs such as Excel and Word.
Most importantly is your warm smile, can do positive attitude, great personality and ability to engage with both our wonderful team and amazing patrons and a natural talent for making sure everyone is ok and looked after, while never losing your cool!

Job Description;
The purpose of this role is to ensure the business runs smoothly during your shift. The majority of the role will be serving patrons, making coffees and food, working collaboratively with the Venue Manager and Assistant Venue Manager, supporting and guiding our team and making sure our patrons are given a positive and memorable experience while visiting.
Specifics of the role include:
* Opening and closing the business, which will require you to be physically fit due to the nature of the 2 hour pack down and lifting of stock.
* Giving your team feedback that is clear and constructive.
* Being a customer service super STAR.
* Keeping every safe and reporting incidents and hazards.
* Ensuring everything is restocked for sessions, including our hand made onsite Choc Tops.
* Able to use your initiative to manage and improve efficiency.
* Be professional but warm with our team and patrons.
* Lead by example, promoting a positive and accepting team environment.
* When sessions/cafe is busy be able to manage your workload effectively and calmly.
* Managing our projection area to ensure all sessions run smoothly.
You must already have a food safety certificate, RSA, barista skills and first aid, or be able to obtain qualifications promptly.
