Be Part of Something Bigger: The Role
As our Human Resources Officer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality HR services across Breakaway. Reporting to the Human Resources Coordinator, you will support recruitment, onboarding, employee record management, HR compliance, performance management processes, investigations, and internal communications. This is a hands‐on role where you will assist managers and staff with day‐to‐day HR support while contributing to the growth and efficiency of our HR systems and practices.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Assist with recruitment, selection, onboarding, and induction of new employees.
* Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems.
* Support supervisors and managers with performance management and staff appraisals.
* Assist with workplace investigations, complaints, and HR compliance processes.
* Prepare HR correspondence, maintain confidential files, and support policy development.
* Assist with coordinating training and workforce development initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with awards, legislation, and HR best practices.
What You Bring to the Table
You are an organised and motivated HR professional who thrives in a supportive and dynamic team. You have excellent attention to detail, great interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to helping staff succeed.
Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (highly regarded).
* Minimum 1 year experience in HR or a strong administrative background (2+ years essential).
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage time, prioritise tasks, and maintain confidentiality.
* Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain).
* Valid driver's licence.
