What You Will Be Doing
The Program Manager of Community Dental is a valued member of the Community Health and Dental leadership team at Peninsula Health and is integral to upholding the values of the organisation and providing strategic leadership to the Dental service. The Program Manager of Community Dental is responsible for the operational management of the Peninsula Health Community Dental Service to ensure effective and efficient community dental services across all Community Health Dental sites. As a key member of the Dental leadership team, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership to Peninsula Health Community Dental Service, ensuring safe, personal, effective and connected care for all clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the Community Dental Service delivers high quality, evidence based services which align with organisational and DHSV goals, within a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
Recognised Dental Qualification and Registration to practise as an Oral Health Clinician in the State of Victoria
• Operational and clinical leadership and management experience
• Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary dental and evidence-based practice
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary clinical team
• Teaching skills
• Patient safety and quality review knowledge and skills
• Strategic planning skills related to clinical service
• Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and research
• Familiarity with NSQHS standards and accreditation.
Desirable criteria:
• Demonstrated understanding and commitment to principles of Public Health and social model of health
• Operational experience in public dental care service provision
• Project management experience and skills
