The impact you’ll have:
Behind every well-managed building is a finance team that keeps things moving. As an Accounts Officer with BCP Strata, a PICA Group branch, you’ll make sure suppliers, contractors, and utilities are paid accurately and on time. This is the work that keeps our clients’ communities operating smoothly every day.
You’ll report to a tenured and supportive Accounts Manager who will guide your learning and help you grow. Over time, you’ll gain exposure to broader areas of strata accounting, including levies, caretaker salaries, and investment management. Giving you valuable skills for your finance career.
What you’ll do:
* Process around 1,000 invoices each week using StrataMax, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
* Match invoices to work orders and approvals, checking GST and coding before payment.
* Schedule and process weekly payment runs for contractors, utilities, and suppliers.
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies quickly and professionally.
* Keep thorough, auditable records and support month-end close and audit processes.
* Communicate clearly with suppliers and internal teams to keep payments on track.
* Contribute to continuous improvements in systems and workflow.
What you’ll bring:
* Ideally, at least 2 years experience in Accounts Payable or finance administration (strata or property experience an advantage).
* Proven ability to manage high-volume invoice processing with accuracy and consistency.
* Proficiency with StrataMax or similar accounting software (eg. Zero, MYOB, NetSuite).
* Sound understanding of GST and BAS principles.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with a calm approach under pressure.
* A reliable, team-focused attitude and pride in doing things right the first time.
