About the role
Carlisle Health is seeking an experienced and driven Financial Accountant to join our high performing finance team on a permanent full-time basis. This role is ideally suited to a technically strong accounting professional who has operated in complex, multi-faceted environments and is confident navigating competing priorities with accuracy and professionalism.
The successful candidate will bring a depth of experience in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement, along with the commercial acumen to interpret and present financial information clearly and effectively. A key requirement of the role is the ability to tailor financial terminology and insights to a broad range of stakeholders from operational teams to senior leadership ensuring information is both meaningful and actionable.

The location for this role will be hybrid, ideally from Sydney or Brisbane metro.
Key responsibilities
Support accurate and timely month-end and period-end close across multiple entities.
Review reconciliations, provide financial commentary, and ensure strong financial oversight.
Contribute to board reporting, bank covenant reporting, and annual audit and assurance processes.
Drive process improvements and automation to enhance reporting efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
Support integration of newly acquired entities into the group finance function.
Partner with operational leaders to provide financial insights and performance guidance.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Lead variance analysis and identify root causes, presenting practical solutions.
Contribute to finance team development and capability building.
Support financial modelling, scenario analysis, due diligence, and CapEx/investment initiatives.
Help strengthen scalable financial processes and internal controls across the organisation.
Background and experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
CPA or CA qualified.
2–5 years' experience in financial accounting or reporting roles.
Exposure to multi-entity or multi-site environments such as healthcare, services, or radiology (highly desirable).
Advanced Excel skills, experience using Netsuite and various systems across the business.
Strong financial and analytical capability, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and processes.
Demonstrated ability to interpret financial results, prepare reports, and provide sound commercial insights.
Demonstrated planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Effective communicator and collaborative team player, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
