My client is a specialty manufacturer in the plastics space, part of a large National organisation. This stable business services many household brands across the globe. Due to a promotion, they are looking to add a Production Supervisor to oversee the afternoon shift in Blacktown. This is a temp to perm opportunity for someone with a positive and "hands on" attitude who wants to be part of a great team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include: People Leadership and Workforce Planning Inspecting finished goods to ensure quality standards are met Safe and efficient production of packaging Operation of Stretch hood machine. Continuous Improvements and Operational Excellence General Cleaning/ Housekeeping as required Safety and Quality Other General Duties as instructed by the Management Coordinating fast paced production lines You will ideally have 2-3 years experience in a similar role in production & supervising. Other experience you need will include: Commitment to safety and quality Experience in production or packing lines Positive approach to working in a team and able to work independently Good attendance history. Experience with Lean Manufacturing concepts and 5S would be an advantage Forklift license would be an advantage Must have work right entitlements.
