The role of the Re-manufacturing Operator will be required to support the safe and compliant processing of post-use medical devices. This hands-on role involves operating equipment, following strict procedures, and ensuring that remanufactured products meet quality and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a regulated, cleanroom environment and committed to supporting a sustainable healthcare model.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform manual and automated tasks involved in the cleaning, inspection, disassembly, reassembly, and testing of medical devices.
* Operate production equipment and tools in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
* Follow all safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Accurately complete production records, batch documentation, and device tracking logs.
* Conduct visual and functional inspections to identify defects or non-conformances.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with 5S and GMP standards.
* Report equipment malfunctions, process deviations, or quality concerns to supervisors promptly.
* Participate in training, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional team activities.
EDUCATION/TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
* High school certificate or equivalent; vocational training in manufacturing or technical fields is a plus.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing, medical device, or cleanroom environment preferred.
* Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high attention to detail.
* Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
* Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
* Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., ISO 13485, TGA, FDA).
* Knowledge of medical device handling, sterilization, or reprocessing procedures.
* Forklift or equipment operation certification (if applicable).
* Willingness to consider EHS activities within role responsibilities
* Willingness to be involved in writing procedures, training, safety gambas.
* Experience with fire warden, safety committee and/or first aid are a plus.
