Junior Legal Counsel – Fujitsu Asia Pacific
Melbourne, VIC, AU – Permanent, full‑time.
About the role
We're seeking a passionate Legal Counsel to join our collaborative and dynamic ANZ Corporate Legal Team at Fujitsu. This is a blended role across employment and commercial law which involves providing legal support in commercial transactions, employment matters, and disputes across Australia and New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic legal advice to support business negotiations, minimise risk, and protect Fujitsu's commercial interests.
* Advise on employment law matters, including compliance with changing legislation and workplace regulations.
* Support dispute resolution by preparing legal advice, responses, and evidence.
* Guide the business on contractual obligations and ensure alignment with internal policies and customer standards.
* Build strong working relationships across teams, contributing to a positive and collaborative legal function.
Requirements and Experience
* 2+ years experience as an in‑house lawyer or in a law firm.
* Experience in one or more of the following areas: employment law, contract law, employee relations, or commercial/employment disputes.
* Experience working on information technology contracts, including software licences, services agreements, and outsourcing contracts preferred.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
