This role focuses on preparing the FY27 budget submission for shareholder Ministers in collaboration with internal finance leads. This is a contract role to February 2026, ideal for a CA/CPA-qualified analyst with public sector budgeting experience who enjoys structured delivery and is comfortable in a technically focused role. Role Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end development of the FY27 corporate budget in collaboration with the Corporate Finance Manager Coordinate financial inputs from across the organisation and consolidate into formal submission documents Prepare detailed presentations and financial summaries for senior executive and shareholder stakeholders Manage SAP BPC systems for budget data entry, reporting and integrity Liaise with Queensland Treasury and ensure compliance with Tridata submission protocols Assist in periodic forecasting and corporate financial planning reviews Produce board-level materials including the Statement of Corporate Intent and Corporate Plan What You’ll Bring CA or CPA qualification Strong end-to-end budgeting experience within a government-owned corporation or similar public sector environment Familiarity with the Queensland Government’s reporting requirements Confidence with SAP BPC and Excel-based financial modelling Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage large datasets and deliver to tight reporting deadlines Comfortable working in a structured and process-driven environment About the Client Representing a key player in Queensland’s energy transition, this public sector-owned corporation operates with a commercial mindset and a strong environmental mandate.
