Senior Commercial Specialist Defence Consulting A leading defence consultancy is seeking a Senior Commercial Specialist to support complex capability programs across the Defence portfolio.
This position is suited to candidates with substantial Defence commercial experience and the required security clearance.

Key roles and responsibilities * Design and develop procurement methodologies and contracting options, including commercial arrangements * Develop key commercial documentation, including business cases, strategies, plans, reports, tender documentation, and formal correspondence * Maintain and enhance contract management plans, systems and tools * Manage commercial relationships, identify issues and resolve disputes * Oversee contract performance management, including supplier deliverables, performance reporting, reviews and cost management * Undertake commercial governance and assurance activities * Develop, review, and coordinate Deed and Contract Change Proposals * Manage and support phase-in and phase-out activities * Administer export control requirements * Coordinate supplier payments and resolve invoicing queries in line with departmental policies * Engage stakeholders from needs identification through to contract execution, ensuring alignment with capability objectives, procurement framework,s and governance requirements * Develop and maintain budget phasing plans, track against approved allocations and produce accurate financial reporting and variance analysis * Maintain audit-ready records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Defence Instructions and accountability standards Essential requirements * Tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce, Business, Finance, Procurement or related field * Demonstrated experience with ASDEFCON and Defence procurement * 8+ years of Defence commercial experience * Strong commercial acumen and ability to navigate complex organisational structures * NV1 security clearance, mandatory Security clearance * Negative Vetting Level 1, NV1 Location * Sydney, NSW Working hours * 40 hours per week Note Applications without NV1 clearance will not be considered.
