About the Role
The NT Attorney-General's Department is seeking a highly organised and professional Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive and confidential administrative support to a senior Executive and their work unit within the Litigation Division. This role also incorporates administrative coordination, requiring a high level of discretion, initiative, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
About the Division
The Litigation Division delivers legal advice and representation across a wide range of civil litigation and administrative law matters to the Northern Territory Government, its agencies, and statutory bodies. The work undertaken by the division contributes to significant legal outcomes that impact the Territory and its community.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide high-level executive and administrative support, including managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings, and arranging travel. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing all communications into and out of the Executive's office, ensuring priorities are addressed and deadlines are met.
The role involves managing procurement-related tasks, including travel bookings, purchasing, and credit card processing. You will liaise confidently and discreetly with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior staff, external organisations, and members of the public, while providing other support as required.
About You
You will bring demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative support to a senior leader or Executive, with strong capability in managing calendars, coordinating meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining confidential records.
You are highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint, and are comfortable using record management systems while remaining open to adopting new technologies.
Your communication and interpersonal skills are well developed, allowing you to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and build strong working relationships. You thrive in fast-paced environments, with excellent organisational and time management skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while working both independently and as part of a team.
You will demonstrate strong attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to identify issues, escalate where necessary, and contribute to continuous improvement through practical and proactive solutions.
