This is an exciting opportunity to join the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission (GEDC) within the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), and part of the State Government's Regional Development portfolio.
About the opportunity
The Executive Officer works across a variety of corporate services functions to fulfil the business needs of the GEDC. The position works closely with the Senior Management Team as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Candidates must demonstrate skills and experience relevant to the key responsibilities of the Executive Officer Job Description Form (JDF), to be considered for the pool.
This includes a high level of proficiency in financial administration and delivery of high quality and timely corporate services to teams, including staff, committees and Boards.
Experience with developing policies and procedures, preparing annual reports, managing and improving ICT and records management systems, managing procurement and office maintenance contracts, implementing migrations to new ICT systems, and project management frameworks, is beneficial for the role.
About you
Successful candidates will be highly capable and adaptable, with the ability to organise and coordinate business requirements and services in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Having a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes, with exceptional attention to detail.
You must have a 'can do' and 'willing to help' mindset and embrace working across a diverse range of business functions. Using your adaptable skills you will manage your response times for urgent requests providing support or information, whilst maintaining agency compliance with deadlines for statutory and non-statutory requirements.
You must be confident in your research and data analysis, financial management and business services and enjoy problem-solving and self-learning. Being proactive and innovative, able to identify and implement solutions, where resourcing support may be limited and continuously seek opportunities to improve systems and processes
