Delaware North Australia is hiring a full-time Finance Officer/Specialist to support operations at Victoria Racing Club (VRC) in Flemington, Melbourne. As Finance Officer/Specialist, you will deliver accurate and timely financial processing across invoicing, receipting, revenue reconciliations, and debtor management, supporting strong controls and key deadlines. What will you do?
* Process and reconcile weekly site revenue, maintaining accurate balance sheet and accounts receivable reconciliations
* Prepare, issue, and reconcile customer invoices, manage receipting and debtor accounts, and resolve discrepancies promptly
* Monitor aged receivables, follow up overdue payments, and escalate high-risk accounts as required
* Conduct supplier and customer account reconciliations and investigate variances through to resolution
* Assist with monthly financial reporting while maintaining audit‐ready documentation and compliance with internal policies and external standards
* Partner with operations and the finance team to improve processes, communicate updates clearly, and meet business deadlines
More About You
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* Experience in accounts receivable and end‐to‐end invoicing and collections
* Familiarity with financial systems and POS platforms, with hospitality or events experience desirable
* Strong attention to detail, initiative, and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
* Solid financial acumen and clear communication skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders
* High level of confidentiality, and aligns with Delaware North values and behaviours
