The Opportunity
As our full-time permanent Practice Support Lead/Law Clerk in our Personal Injury team based in our Helensvale office, you\'ll be on the frontline as we doggedly seek justice. You'll work closely with our legal team to make a meaningful, long-lasting impact for our clients.
This unique role will see you leading a small legal support team, while managing your own small file load across workers compensation, motor vehicle accidents and public liability matters.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior paralegal to take the next step in their career, stretching yourself with deeper responsibility for client matters, and leadership of a team of your own.
While this role is full time, we\'re open to considering candidates who prefer four days - let\'s talk
With empathy, adaptability and initiative, you will be a true champion of our clients by:
* Providing clients with legal advice and representation to obtain compensation.
* Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with clients, including effective and regular communication.
* Work across a variety of client matters that require a high level of sensitivity.
* Draft legal briefs and documentation with a high degree of attention to detail.
* Manage and run a file load with a high level of commercial and fiscal awareness.
* Lead and nurture a small team of legal support
* Cultivating strong relationships with our clients, Shine employees, Counsel and other external stakeholders.
What you\'ll bring
* Demonstrated experience in personal injury as either a legal assistant, paralegal or law clerk is essential, with an interest in managing a small team of legal support professionals.
* A strong understanding of, and ability to interpret relevant legislation and legal documentation.
* Enjoy working on legally challenging and factually complex matters.
* The maturity and confidence to support clients who may be experiencing trauma.
* A desire to be part of a strong, cohesive team that works together to get great results
* A commitment to truly connect with those around you and work together to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
* A keen eye for detail in your drafting skills.
* You'll be a great communicator both verbally and in writing.
* You'll recognise and value the importance of your role in being the gateway to support our clients.
* The ability to work the hours of 8:15am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
