We have an exciting part‐time temporary opportunity to join our Early Years Department. As the Early Years Registration and Support Officer, you'll be part of the Early Years Partnership Team, working to support both internal and external Early Years Service Providers across the municipality and ensuring children and families in Knox have access to high‐quality services. This role provides administrative support to the Strategic Planning and Partnership Team, supports the Kindergarten Central Registration process—including managing registrations and allocating children into sessional kindergarten programs—and liaises with families enrolling in or attending sessional kindergarten while maintaining accurate, up‐to‐date data related to the provision of sessional kindergarten.
About the role
This is a part‐time (3 days per week) temporary parental leave role until April 2027 based at our Civic Centre; we can offer flexible work options for the right candidate. Band 4 classified with remuneration of $73,349.33–$78,124.95 (depending on experience) plus superannuation.
What you will bring to this role
* Demonstrated relevant experience in business administration.
* Demonstrated experience in providing high quality and responsive customer service.
* Understanding of administrative and funding requirements of early years services, in particular kindergartens.
* Relevant experience in the use of databases such as Central Registration System, Pathways and TRIM, or ability to learn and implement new software systems.
* Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and ability to prioritise and organise workload to meet deadlines and competing demands.
