Overview Your role At Allens, our business teams are specialists in their field, using their unique knowledge and expertise to solve critical client and business challenges. You'll be a part of our IT Security and Risk team based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne. This team plays a vital role in safeguarding the firm’s technology environment, ensuring compliance, and embedding security into every aspect of our operations. They work closely with IT, legal, and business teams to manage risk proactively and maintain client trust.
Responsibilities
Design, implement and maintain secure cloud environments that protect systems and data
Maintain secure cloud configurations and monitor compliance within cloud platforms and governance frameworks
Identify and remediate cloud vulnerabilities and misconfigurations across production and development environments
Provide security input into cloud vendor selection, procurement and third‑party risk processes
Support cloud audits, certifications and client due diligence activities
Develop and maintain cloud security improvement plans within governance and risk management frameworks
Coordinate remediation of audit findings and risk treatment actions within agreed timeframes
Work closely with IT, legal and business teams to embed cloud security into projects and governance forums
Build effective working relationships with cloud vendors, auditors and external security partners
Qualifications
Experience within professional services or financial services environments (desirable)
Strong knowledge of Azure architecture, governance and operations, including networking, storage, and security in hybrid environments
Hands‑on experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001
A solid understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, identity governance and security principles
Skills in automation and Infrastructure as Code, with an understanding of logging, alerting and auditing strategies
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts clearly
A desire to learn, grow, network, mentor others
