Steam Generation Specialist
The role of Boiler Assistant is at the core of operations. As a key team member, you will assist in overseeing critical equipment and ensuring optimal steam generation.
This position is based in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its landscapes and community. The region offers a warm climate, beaches, and recreational activities, making it an ideal place to live and work.
The shift roster for this position operates on a continuous rotating schedule, which may include weekends and occasional overtime. Once the crushing is complete, the role switches to a day shift schedule with RDOs most Fridays.
Key Responsibilities
* Closely collaborate with the Boiler Station and shift teams to maintain smooth and safe operations.
* Manage turbine and auxiliary equipment start-ups and shut-downs, maintaining energy flow within the plant.
* Operate the vital Bagasse system with precision, ensuring efficient operations at all times.
* Inspect, troubleshoot, and handle boiler and auxiliary systems, reporting abnormalities.
* Contribute actively to work, health, and safety standards, including risk assessments and job safety analyses.
Requirements
A successful candidate will hold a High-Risk Work License for Turbine Operator (TO) and an Advanced Boiler Operator (BA) certification or be willing to achieve the necessary competencies.
