The role of the Head Chef is to oversee the operation of the kitchen and participate in and contribute to the profitability of the Venue. It involves providing a broad range of procedural, compliance and reporting services, ensuring activities support business objectives and align with venue strategies, tactics, people, and culture.
Develop, implement and drive the food strategy of the venue, including menu design ahead of industry trends, cost and stock management, and seamless workflows that ensure the kitchen delivers exceptional food for our customers.
Core Duties
* Kitchen Operations – Overseeing the day‐to‐day operations of the kitchen, including adherence to internal and external policies and procedures.
* People – Recruitment, performance management and succession planning for the kitchen.
* Financial – Proactively managing and tweaking daily and weekly expenses, wages, and gross profit to ensure the budget is met.
* Menu Development – Menu design and refresh in line with brand concept, company timeframes, and guidelines.
* Compliance – Interpreting and analysing kitchen reports, audits, and documentation to mitigate risks and ensure compliance obligations are met.
