Employment types: Full Time, PartTime, and Sessional with the possibility of extension(s).
Consultant Year 1-9: $412,161 -$523,436 per annum*
Sessional Year 1- 9: $790.09 -$1,003.40*
The above salary is as per WAHealth System Medical Practitioners AMA Industrial Agreement 2024(inclusive of base salary, 12% superannuation, and PD allowance).This is subject to the assessment of qualifications, clinicalskills and years of practice.

Wheatbelt Mental HealthService delivers high-quality community mental health careincluding comprehensive assessment and treatment for people of allages. Our clinical programs include Aboriginal Mental HealthProgram (All ages), Adult Mental Health Program (18-65 years),Child and Adolescent Mental Health Program (0-18 years), SeniorsMental Health Program (65+ years) and Youth Mental Health Program(15-24 years).
The Wheatbelt Mental HealthService is a team of Mental Health Professionals includingConsultant Psychiatrist, Clinical Psychologists, Social Workers,Child and Adolescent Professionals. Aboriginal Workers andCommunity Mental Health Nurses.

We’re looking for passionateand experienced Consultant Psychiatrist in CAMHS and AdultPsychiatry to join our dynamic teams in Northam Hospital. You willbe required to work occasionally across other Mental Health sitessuch as Narrogin, Merredin, and Gingin in Wheatbelt.
This is an opportunity tolead, innovate, and shape the future of mental health services foradults, children, adolescents, and youth.
* Deliver high-qualityclinical assessment and psychiatric treatment in acommunity-based setting.
* Provide expertleadership, advice, and consultation to GPs, healthcareprofessionals, service providers, and carers across theregion.
* Drive the regionalimplementation of the Infant, Child, and Adolescent Taskforcerecommendations, ensuring best practice care.
* Chair CAMHS clinicalreviews and uphold compliance with the Mental Health Act andrelevant legislation.
* Build strong partnershipswith key stakeholders, including the Chief Psychiatrist andlocal GPs, to deliver seamless, coordinated care.

You’ll report to the Directorof Clinical Services – Mental Health and collaborate with a team ofconsultant psychiatrists and registrars who value shared expertiseand collective problem-solving.
The SuccessfulCandidatesWill:
* Be eligible forregistration by the Medical Board of Australia.
* Hold Fellowship of theRoyal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry(RANZCP). Certificate of Child Psychiatry (RANZCP) or approvedequivalent.
* Be RANZCP trainee who arein their penultimate year of training and have completed alltraining requirements.
* Substantial clinicalexperience in general adult, child, adolescent and youth mentalhealth.
* Be willing to work acrossother Mental Health sites such as Narrogin, Merredin, andGingin in Wheatbelt.
* Applicants from theUnited Kingdon (UK) or Ireland eligible for the Medical Boardof Australia Expedited Specialist Pathway must:
* Hold the MRCPsych(UK) as well as CCT/CCST
* Have the AMC primarysource verification
* Intend to live andwork in Australia permanently
