We're seeking an experienced maintenance professional to join our team as a Maintenance Handyperson. In this exciting role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel.
About The Role
As a Maintenance Handyperson, you'll be responsible for undertaking a variety of general hotel maintenance work in common areas and hotel rooms. You'll also complete repairs to apartments, equipment, and common area hardware. Additionally, you'll assist in troubleshooting electrical equipment such as TVs and air conditioners, respond quickly to emergencies, and maintain maintenance inventory. You'll work independently with an ownership mindset but also with a team focus. Furthermore, you'll manage on-site contractors, contractor compliance, and inductions, upkeep of service agreements, and building audits for compliance. You'll also manage and assist in new building defects.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake general hotel maintenance work in common areas and hotel rooms
* Complete repairs to apartments, equipment, and common area hardware
* Assist in troubleshooting electrical equipment such as TVs and air conditioners
* Respond quickly to emergencies
* Maintain maintenance inventory
* Manage on-site contractors and contractor compliance

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Approved Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency or a Visa with approved working rights)
* Knowledge of general maintenance tasks
