Job Overview
The primary function of a Financial Accountant involves meticulously maintaining and updating stock records, thoroughly reconciling discrepancies, actively supporting audits, efficiently generating reports, and providing crucial financial insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records.
* Regularly conduct thorough stock counts and resolve any discrepancies that arise.
* Investigate and resolve inventory variances in a timely manner.
* Ensure account reconciliation is accurately performed and discrepancies are promptly resolved.
* Monitor stock levels closely and alert when reordering is necessary.
* Produce detailed inventory reports and provide valuable insights to support business decisions.
* Closely monitor sales metrics and prepare regular performance reports.
* Implement and enforce strict PTU procedures and policies.
* Collaborate with internal auditors to provide necessary financial information.
* Work with external auditors to provide required financial information for annual auditing purposes.
* Contribute constructive and direct feedback to your manager on potential service improvements, what is working well, and areas for team growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
* 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
* Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sun system, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
