About the role
As a drafter, your key objective is to use Autodesk Inventor to produce sheet metal and weldment models, and shop drawings for our workshop.
You will create 3-D CAD models for new products or use customer drawings to provide further detail for our team.
Developing flat patterns for sheet metal and creating DXF files for laser cutters will be a day-to-day activity.
You will also detail drawings for handrails, balustrades and Camp King products.
About You & Experience
Highly experienced using AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD
A minimum of 3–5 years' experience in a similar role
Experience in industrial and mechanical design
Manufacturing background in the metal fabrication industry an advantage
Willingness to learn, inquisitive and exceptional attention to detail; diligent, enthusiastic learner
Strong work ethic and excellent time management
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
A self-starter who displays initiative and works well as part of a team
Duties & Responsibilities
Concept models and drawings for quoting
Assist project managers and tradespeople with layouts and material profiles
Draft jobs using Autodesk Inventor
Create shop drawings for our fabrication workshop
Maintain register of drawings
Work alongside estimators and assist with product development
Role Details
Full-time position (probation period applies).
Monday to Friday with some flexibility in hours.
Package to be negotiated for the right applicant.
Role to commence immediately upon successful application.
