About the role
As an integral part of the Marketing team you will play a key role in elevating the profile of Federation University through strategic digital engagement. With a strong focus on storytelling and digital innovation, you will enhance brand awareness, showcase student and alumni achievements, and amplify the university's research impact..
You will:
* oversee and mentor a social media content team by providing direction, training, and workload management;
* develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies and campaigns across all key channels with a strong emphasis on video-first content;
* lead the evolution of content from static imagery to engaging video and multimedia formats; and
* manage day-to-day social media interactions and community-building activities.
About you
You will have experience in planning, creating and managing social media content and campaigns across major platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube). You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages tailored to various audiences (including international audiences) and platforms.
You will possess demonstrated:
* ability to supervise and lead a team of staff.
* success in growing and engaging online communities, supported by the effective use of analytics and reporting tools;
* collaboration skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
* knowledge and experience in social media community management with an emphasis on risk mitigation; and
* ability to embrace new technologies and content formats and enthusiasm for staying informed about emerging social media tools, trends, and best practices.
